Senior Network and Security Engineer

Responsibilities:
Setups, maintains and monitor of high availability of network devices such as Cisco Routers and ASA Firewalls
Closely work with development team with setting up testing environments, review of test plans and test cases, investigation of technical issues raised
Provide capacity planning of network resources
Ensure all issues are addressed within a service level agreement (SLA)
Suggests, implements and work closely with the server team on company security policy
Creates and monitors network utilization
Provides patch management and firmware upgrades
Daily monitors system logs and provide root cause analysis of errors
Generates Reports on network utilization and Protocol Analyzers
Creates and maintains detailed network documentation, physical and logical maps, hardware and software configurations, cabling layouts and floor plans
Maintain on-call status and be able to travel as required
Works with communication vendors during trouble determination, evaluation and resolution
Maintain network communication components and associated data racks and cabling in MDF and corresponding IDFs
Participate in weekly meetings and assist other teams with all network and maintenance activities
Requirements:
Must possess a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or any related courses
3 to 6 years solid work experience working on networking and security compliance
Knowledge in Cisco and other network appliances with Load Balancing and Failover using active/active or active/standby
Experience with Policy Based Routing and QoS
Knowledge in open source monitoring Tools
Experience in a 24x7 Datacenter running several technologies such as Virtualization, VLAN, Subnetting, RAS, VPN
In-depth exposure in Proxy, Firewall, Internet Messaging and Mail Servers
Opensource advocate
Knowledge of web technologies such as SSL and HTTP is an advantage
Knowledge in BCP/DR, Ticketing, SLA and ITIL
CCNA/CCNP and other certifications is an advantage
