Deutsche Knowledge Services Pte Ltd. is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Deutsche Bank Group. It employs over 1900 professionals and is the Bank's primary global shared service centre for finance, global business services and IT. DKS provides accounting, reporting, profit and loss, cost, reconciliation, MIS, risk control, information technology and operations services (including confirmations and settlements) to internal businesses worldwide.

Responsibilities

The Ledger Exceptions Management team is responsible for the data integrity of the General Ledger. The team’s core task is to perform reconciliation between two systems and performs exceptions handling. The 4 core functions are data collection, matching, investigation/allocation, and resolution/monitoring. The center of competence for reconciliations process within Finance are Head Office and Local Regulatory Reporting data quality analysis.

The candidate is expected to manage various teams within the Ledger Exceptions Management team. In addition, the candidate is expected to:

Be the first point of contact for escalations and issue resolution for all projects and initiatives driven by PSC and Onshore for the Ledger Exceptions Management workstream (RTB and CTB)

Engage with CTB team and drive change initiatives and Book of Work for the Ledger EM workstream

Manage the day to day operations of various Ledger EM teams in compliance with the SLA and according to the PSC’s governance requirements

Drive the development plans of the supervisors (workstream level) and high potential resources

Coach and mentor supervisors and identified resources with high-potential

Drive various initiatives and projects to further enhance their operational growth

Key Competencies:
Technical:
Intermediate to Advanced skills in MS Applications specifically, MS Excel, MS Access

Knowledge on SAP is an advantage

Knowledge in investment banking products is a value-add

Has exposure and understanding to process documentation (KPI, KOP, Flowcharts, etc)

Has exposure to various systems of an investment bank

Demonstrates effective grasp of the key technical concepts required for the role, progressing own technical development and that of the team.

Deep understanding of key processes so that effective client support is maintained.

Qualifications and Skills:
Education

Business Graduate and other Finance-Related Courses (i.e., Economics, Business Administration, Accountancy or Finance)

Post Graduate course or credits a plus

Work Experience

Has held a solid leadership/management position for at least 7 years

Intensive exposure to Operations, Business Process Reengineering, Change, Finance, Risk Management or related fields such as Finance, Treasury, or Operations

Highly organized and detail oriented, with the ability to work on multiple tasks at one time while meeting established deadlines

Ability to work with different cultures and across different geographic locations.

Excellent communication skills
